Where to begin - I first went to Honest-1 Autocare when they first opened. It was close to our house and they provided a shuttle service. My first experience was just okay. When they opened they had a completely different front staff. My husband's car was serviced fine but, the customer service was lacking from everyone except George, the owner. I took a chance and took my car back for an oil change and to get an estimate for a 30K service check-up. Even though I wasn't thrilled with my first customer service experience, I decided to give it another try because I had had the opportunity to talk with George during my initial visit and I liked him enough to give his shop another try. To my pleasant surprise the entire front staff had been replaced. Since they opened in July we have brought our cars there about 6 times. I read through all of the reviews and was surprised to see negative reviews and that people felt they were getting ripped off. I also looked to see if it was around the time when they had first opened which would've explained the negative reviews. First and foremost, they stand behind their work. They are personable and knowledgeable. If there's an issue after your car has been fixed you can bring it back and get your questions answered or car adjusted if there's a problem. If you just complain without giving them the opportunity to fix it than it's a lose-lose situation for both the business and the customer. On 2 separate occasions 2 other customers had thought that they had had work done on their cars prior to bringing it to Honest-1. When Willie showed them the parts from their cars and explained to them there's no way the work could've been done because of various reasons he told them to call those other shops back and ask what they did because the parts would have been newer and in better condition and they wouldn't be having the problems that they were currently having with their cars. He didn't try to sell them additional services, he was more concerned that these customers had thought they had work done on their cars when they there was no evidence that they had. When Honest-1 has replaced parts in our cars they have brought me into the maintenance bay to show me and have even asked me if I want the parts. How more honest can a company get than that? I have had personal interactions with all of them - George, Willie and Gabby. They are great. The shuttle service is convenient and fabulous. The waiting area is clean and inviting. If I had to bring my kids while my car was getting serviced they wouldn't want to leave because there are a number of things to keep both kids and adults busy. Additionally they provide a variety of snacks and beverages, including healthy options so you will not go hungry. We stayed with our last mechanic for 10 years and left only because we relocated out of state. We have found our "go to" auto repair shop here in Tampa. Simply put, they're AWESOME.
